Reminder about Watson Chapel High School Handbook policies regarding check outs and tardies:
When checking out a student early, the parent/guardian must physically come into the front office and present a picture ID. The name of the person checking out the student must be listed on the information sheet. Phone calls requesting a student to be checked out will not be allowed. Students that drive themselves to school may be checked out by phone, by a parent or guardian. No early check-outs the last 15 minutes of the school day.
A child will be considered tardy if he/she arrives at school later than 8:05 a.m. If a child leaves school before 2:50 p.m., he/she will be considered as leaving school early. Unexcused tardies may result in a conference with parent/guardian and/or filing FINS (Family in Need of Services) with the Juvenile Court. If a child is tardy due to a doctor or dentist appointment, you must bring a note from the doctor or dentist for it to be excused. Otherwise, tardies and early checkouts will not be excused.
